Stay in the Loop: How DriveBoard Notifications Work

Great teams stay aligned when everyone knows what needs attention. DriveBoard keeps your team in sync with a built-in notification system that covers the moments that matter most: invites, role changes, task assignments, comment mentions, and project shares.

Where notifications appear

Every notification shows up in two places. An in-app bell in the navigation bar displays a count of unread items. Click it to open the notifications page, where you can read, filter, and mark notifications as read. High-priority notifications also trigger an email, so you stay informed even when you are not logged in.

What triggers a notification

DriveBoard sends notifications for five event types:

  • Workspace invites: when someone invites you to join a workspace
  • Role changes: when your role in a workspace is updated
  • Task assignments: when a task is assigned to you
  • Comment mentions: when someone mentions you in a task comment
  • Project shares: when a project is shared with you

Control your preferences

Not every notification is equally useful to every person. Open the Settings page and scroll to the notification preferences section to toggle each type on or off. A search bar at the top of settings lets you find a specific preference quickly. Your choices apply to both in-app and email notifications.

Why it matters

Notifications remove the need to check the board constantly. Instead of wondering whether a task was assigned to you or a project was shared, you get a clear signal the moment it happens. This keeps your team moving without the overhead of status meetings or follow-up messages.
